Amy Gorin is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN), media personality, speaker, nutrition consultant, and writer in Jersey City, NJ. She was designated RD of the Day by Today's Dietitian Magazine in April 2016 and has been interviewed by many media outlets, including CBS Up to the Minute, CBS Power Up Your Health, U.S. News & World Report, New York Post, Self.com, Shape, Prevention, Women's Health, and EverydayHealth.com. In addition to speaking on panels and presenting to private companies, Amy serves as a consultant to food- and nutrition-focused companies—helping to create effective media messaging, conducting interviews, and developing recipes.
Amy pens a nutrition-focused blog, "The Eat List," for WeightWatchers.com and is a frequent contributor to many publications, including Parade, Dr. Oz the Good Life, Women's Health, Shape.com, WomansDay.com, FoodNetwork.com, ReadersDigest.com, and Runner's World. The former Senior Editor of Health, Weight Watchers Magazine, and WeightWatchers.com, Amy previously held nutrition/health editor positions at Prevention, Parents, and American Baby. Amy enjoys creating recipes, several of which have appeared in The MIND Diet: A Scientific Approach to Enhancing Brain Function and Helping Prevent Alzheimer's and Dementia (Ulysses Press, 2016), Runner's World Meals on the Run: 150 Energy-Packed Recipes in 30 Minutes or Less (Rodale Books, 2015) and The Runner's World Cookbook: 150 Ultimate Recipes for Fueling Up and Slimming Down—While Enjoying Every Bite (Rodale Books, 2013).
Amy completed her Dietetic Internship at Utah State University and her Didactic Program in Dietetics at New York University. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Journalism and a Bachelor of Arts in Visual Art Studies from the University of Florida, as well as a Master of Science in Journalism from Northwestern University.
