Pretty soon after my fiance's sweet proposal, I started researching wedding venues. While we ultimately decided to have a destination wedding, I ended up with a giant list of really awesome venue ideas. You may have already seen my ideas for getting married in New York and places to have a wedding in Pennsylvania. But I couldn't forget my home state, so I put together this epic list of wedding party venues for getting married in New Jersey.
No matter your budget or preference for new wedding venues or more historic ones, I bet you'll find your place to get married in New Jersey. Trying to have a low-budget wedding? I have inexpensive wedding locations sprinkled throughout this post, but you can also make a beeline to the section on community centers for a list of pretty cheap wedding reception venues. While researching venues for this post, I found out that one of the cheapest ways to get married in New Jersey is to have your reception at a community center!
Without further ado, here's my list of 53 wedding reception locations for anyone who is getting married in Jersey. As a North New Jersey resident, I made sure to include quite a few options for having a wedding in one of the many northern New Jersey cities.
Country House Wedding Venues
1. The Inn at Fernbrook Farms (Chesterfield, NJ)
A country wedding destination, this is one of the most beautiful places to have a wedding reception. You'll get a 230-acre active farm and a 1750 Georgian manor house as your venue. The venue has a resident chef and offers seasonal produce, as well as overnight accommodation for 18 people. With additional tents, you can fit more than 250 people in this venue.

2. David's Country Inn (Hackettstown, NJ)
This rustic wedding venue gets top reviews for weddings in Jersey, especially when you read through wedding boards and Facebook groups. 5. Hamilton Farm Golf Club (Gladstone, NJ)

6. Royce Brook Golf Club (Hillsborough, NJ)

From the end of April through the end of October, you can include the outdoor Highlander Pavilion in your wedding. How about a retro bowling alley at your wedding? This Greek revival mansion features one of the only 19th-century bowling alleys left in the country. One of the most historic estate wedding venues in New Jersey, it can hold up to 125 guests, but pricing is based on a 100-person guest count. Pricing includes an event planner (thank goodness, because this is definitely not one of those low-cost wedding venues!).

Here's a Georgian revival mansion that's not overpriced! It was built in 1930 and originally served as a home for the Maplewood Women's Club. Each scenario can accommodate 300 to 500 guests. Rental fees include tables, staffed coat check, security, engineering, housekeeping, and a dance floor. There is an on-site caterer, and catering fees are additional.
44. Wheaton Arts and Cultural Center (Millville, NJ)
This picturesque arts center sits on 50 wooded acres. You can opt to rent the venue for an entire weekend or just a day. If you choose the weekend option, you'll be able to host your rehearsal dinner and goodbye brunch at the arts center.
